DESCRIPTION
Bergamot Pullover is a top-down DK weight sweater worked with classic set-in sleeve shaping and optional bust darts. The sleeve caps are worked with German Short Rows, making this pattern entirely seamless.
This pattern is gender inclusive with two fit options graded from traditional men’s and women’s sizing charts. It is also size inclusive with both fits graded to ten sizes. The top-down construction allows for you to try your sweater on as you work and easily customize the body and sleeves to your ideal length.
My intention is for this sweater to be a perfect staple piece in any wardrobe, and a knitting pattern that you can return to again and again.
SIZING
Fit I is graded based on a traditional women’s sizing chart and Fit II is graded based on a traditional men’s sizing chart. Both fit types are graded to 10 sizes, designed to fit bodies with bust/chest measurements between 30-66” (75-165 cm).
All sizes include an additional 2-4” (5-10 cm) of ease in the finished garment.
See the Pattern Details PDFs linked above to see a full schematic.
SAMPLE
Photos show Fit I Size B worn with 3” / 7.5 cm of positive ease at the bust on a body with a height of 5’2” / 157 cm.
TESTERS

YARN
The following two yarns are held together to create the equivalent of a DK weight gauge:
• Yarn A: Camellia Fiber Co. Serene Merino Fingering (100% Merino wool; non-superwash; 438 yds / 400 m per 100 g). Sample is worked in the color Thistle.
• Yarn B: Camellia Fiber Co. Mohair + Silk Lace (64% kid mohair, 36% silk; non-superwash; 459 yds / 419 m per 50 g). Sample is worked in the color Thistle.
This pattern can be worked in a fingering weight yarn held together with a strand of lace weight mohair yarn OR in a single strand of DK weight yarn. If you are using a single strand of DK weight, base your yardage needed on the yardage requirement for the fingering weight yarn (NOT the g requirement). Be sure to swatch in your chosen yarn(s) to ensure you achieve the intended gauge and like the resulting fabric.
See the Pattern Details PDFs linked above for detailed yardage requirements.
